Big news!

Just wanted to let everyone know that Jeff passed his ADCO final and is now an official certified flight controller! He has worked really hard for this and I am so proud of him. Anyway, he says he will blog about it at a later date, but we'll see! Just wanted to get the word out! Congratulations, Jeff!

Summer in review

Wow! So it's been 30 days since my last post. Sorry! We have been extremely busy this last month. I'll try to start from the beginning. I went back to Louisiana in June in preparation for the birth of my sister's baby, Grayson and the births of two of our good friends babies. Jeff was able to join me for a few days and we had a good time during our mini vacation. We went to Abita Springs, Louisiana, home of Abita beer. It's the next town over from Covington, where I'm from. So we ate lunch at the Brew Pub and then went on a tour of the brewery. It was really cool. Jeff really liked that you could drink all the beer you wanted during the tour. Plus, the whole thing was free! You can't beat that!

We went to a Camp Avondale staff reunion. For those of you that don't know, Jeff and I both worked there during summers in high school. That's where we met and he proposed to me there. So it was nice to go back and see old friends and see how the camp has changed over the years.

Grayson arrived on July 2. He came home on July 4 and we had a small celebration/homecoming at my sister's house the next day.

So I have a huge picture album from our trip that you might enjoy.

After coming home, I found out that I had an abcess in my tooth and needed a root canal. Bummer! I got that taken care of and feel much better. Other than that, I have been working like crazy since I got home. Seems like every NICU I know is busting at the seams. Works out great for me! So I'm taking advantage of it while I can. That's mainly the reason for the lag in posts. I am just too exhausted to do anything after getting home. So hopefully I won't take as long to post again next time.

Enjoy the pictures!
